I’m Sandra, a learning designer, strategist, and lifelong educator at heart.
I believe education should do more than deliver knowledge. It should ignite curiosity, build confidence, and open up new ways of seeing the world. That belief has shaped everything I create, from AI-powered learning tools to experimental course designs.
My journey began with a doctorate in curriculum and pedagogy, but it hasn’t stopped evolving. Today, I’m at the forefront of where learning science, product strategy, and learner-centered design converge, exploring how pedagogy and technology can come together to create something far greater than either alone.
What I build
At Coursera, I’ve helped design and launch pioneering tools like Coursera Coach, Dialogues, and Role Play, each blending AI with intentional pedagogy designed to elevate how learners practice, think, learn and grow.
What I’m working on
I’m currently exploring how AI can enhance formative practice, personalized feedback, and learner agency at scale. My focus spans both product and content design, grounded in pedagogy, learning science research and experimentation.
